Used for a day and had no issue with windows or ms office activation or any other installation issue. Cool process and Make sure you update everything in windows for optimal performance. Gaming is top notch. Played forza horizon at ultra level and no lags at all. Will update any issues.Pros : Display, performanceCons : sound comes from underneath, its not an issue but better when sound bars are put at front. Battery is weak. Comes for 2-3 hrs at full gaming. Can Buy without any doubt.

Good performance.Boot up from dead state within 12-18 seconds that includes login time until working state.Once charged for 100 percent and used normal for web designing. It gave a backup for more than 6.30 hours and i slept while working for 5 hours, still there was 20 percentage backup after 11.30 hours (centralised setting in performance and energy saver mode. Brightness was 30-40%. Didn’t turn on G Mode). Satisfied enough with power backup. Its just a plastic but in very good quality and stronger one.You can brighten or dim keyboard backlit and can turn backlit off.Be sure there is no lights on dell emblem. So many thoughts it has but not.No HDD will be in it but we can add ourself.I ordered it on 14th Aug 2020 Friday from kerala. And delivered 16th Aug 2020 Sunday by morning. A product was from Banglore. It was Rs. 90,900For 10th Gen i7, 8 GB DDR4, 4 GB GTX 1650Ti varient. There is symptoms of price increase. Will update my unboxing and review in youtube. Keep tracking me. Have a good buy.Edit: MS office is a trial product. It has expired in 7 days.

Hey there,There weren’t many reviews about this product, so it took a big chunk of my time to do the research. I don’t usually write reviews but I am writing this to help the people out there who are looking for this laptop and are not sure about the product, in turn helping them to make a wise decision as per their needs. This feedback is going to be long so read at your own risk.So after going through significant number of products and their specifications, I finally decided to choose between two laptops:1. HP OMEN (Ryzen 1650ti)2. DELL G3 (I7, 1650)After some thinking and looking at my requirements, I zeroed in on Dell G3 for reasons I am going take you through very soon.Ok let’s start:1. AMAZON’S DELIVERY SERVICE:Trying to deliver the product in a day is a good thing but at the expense of quality is not correct. Sometime after 12 in the noon, a delivery associate came to deliver the product but the caveat is that he didn’t know what to check for in the laptop that I was going to give out as an exchange and neither did he know that it was a laptop he was going to deliver and hence I informed him. So, he calls up his supervisor and they decide to postpone the delivery for the next couple of hours. And then I get a message that they had contacted me, but I was unavailable (Pathetic to blame it on me). However, after close to 8 hours they deliver the product.2. PACKAGING:When the delivery guy came in the noon, I saw that the package was sealed (the outer box was sealed) but by the night, the outer box was opened. Upon asking, the delivery person says, as we have a lot of things to deliver, the previous guy might’ve just put it in the trailer and it might’ve ripped off(I was like OH! But it’s a laptop man! And how can it just rip off a big tape). But the box of the laptop wasn’t tampered with. So, I had a sigh of relief.3. INSIDE THE BOX:Laptop, Big Charger(albeit a slow one) and some basic manuals.4. DESIGN:The day I got this product, I was excited. First look and I really liked the product’s design and the whole theme because I do not like flashy colours. The blue accent is very subtle and blends in well with matted black body. Again, one of these design elements happens to be the reason for one of the cons(vents). And yes, this thing is a bit heavy I’d say (just like many other gaming laptops).4(a). PORTS:This is one of those sections where there are discrepancies with regards to Amazon’s product details page and what you actually get. Only for 1660ti and above there is a Thunderbolt 3 port. Other than that, you get,LEFT SIDE:Charging port, HDMI, 1xUSB 3.0, RJ 45(for ethernet)RIGHT SIDE:Kensington lock, 2x USB 2.0, Headphone jack, and SD card slot.4(b). FINGERPRINT SCANNER:Its good. Pretty quick. But to press the power button is a bit hard.4(c). BACKLIT KEYBOARD:It’s a chiclet keyboard. The blue light is good(not a fan of RGB :D). I think this is subjective as per your taste. You can turn the backlight on/off by pressing F10. From gaming perspective, it isn’t that good. But for typing it is.4(d). TRACKPAD:Good enough for some gentle usage. Takes the input for zoom in/out nicely. But don’t compare it with a Macbook one. The clicks are a bit hard though. You’d be better off using a mouse instead for gaming (I bought a wired Zeb Transformer for Rs. 280).5. HINGE:This thing! this very thing can scare the shit out of you. One hand opening is a no no. You have to use both hands. While opening it feels stiff making it a bit harder to open. And strictly do not open/close by putting pressure only on one side. After seeing so many negative experiences about the previous model, I was a little scared about this but there weren’t any negative experiences so far on this year’s model, so I felt it was okay. But there is a but, at some point, the hinge makes a slight tick sound when I am about to close the lid. So a subtle red flag right there.6. DISPLAY:Coming from an old DELL laptop with 720p display, I’d say this one looks superb. But hey, what if I tell you that it could be a sham? Yes, the description says it’s a 300nits brightness with 72% NTSC (discrepancy? maybe). But, after registering the laptop in the Dell’s website, what I saw in system configuration page was that it has 220nits brightness(That’s a difference of 80 man! not even 50). (PIC attached) That’s not the end, using a software “DISPLAYHDR” measures the brightness based on OS defaults and although the test is not accurate, but I saw in an article that the error range isn’t more than +/- 20 to 50nits. So, the result? 270nits and I am not sure with which error range to go for, but peak brightness isn’t too bright either (can also be because of the anti-glare screen). So, I think it is a 250nits screen. Oh! I almost forgot. That software also shows the SRGB to be 54% which is ridiculous. Good sRGB coverage is the very reason I bought the 60hz model instead of 120Hz and HP OMEN (Ryzen 4600h).While watching the movie “HOMEFRONT” I didn’t feel like the colours were washed out. Forza 4 was also visually appealing on this screen. However, it could also be that as I’ve been accustomed to working on a 720p display laptop that I find the screen on this one for multimedia purpose still a good one.(Sidenote: If anyone who has purchased this model finds that the screen config(300 nits, 60hz, 72% NTSC) described in Amazon’s website matches with the system configuration of Dell’s website, then do let me know at [email protected] so I can raise a complaint with DELL and Amazon for my unit).7. GAMING AND THERMALS:This is the part where you purchase this laptop only for casual gaming and strictly not heavy gaming. By strictly, I mean I played COD Warzone at high settings and in 15 mins this thing went to 100 degrees! (geyser of laptops). As expected, thermal throttling. Even FH4 was doing 95 at high settings. I tweaked the settings to medium and 86 was average (With the Cooling pad turned on!). Now comes the design flaw, keyboard stays warm at the mid region compared to the extreme sides. And it (keyboard) also gets heated up a bit near the area of Func keys while gaming. The vents on the bottom are good but the on the upper side ones are designed in such a way that the air hits the bottom region of the lid and again heats up the bottom part of the lid a bit but not the display.8. PROCESSOR:It’s an I7 model so it is quick. I don’t want to go into Ryzen vs Intel. Ryzen is great. But I had my concerns regarding the long term.9. RAM:8GB dual channel. Dual channel makes a big difference. This is another small reason for buying this laptop over HP OMEN. Here’s another interesting discrepancy with respect to what is shown here and what you get. Here it says, upgradable to 16gb. But upon checking in cmd prompt by typing “wmic memphysical get maxcapacity” the result it shows is 64gb (Pic attached). Good thing for 16gb expectation but such poor information on amazon page.10. CHARGING:I am including this point because while writing this review, I found that I can charge the laptop faster than default by going into Dell power manager. Now I understood why such a big charger :P. Plugging in at 14%, it says 45mins to full charge which is good. But I think it will take over an hour as I am using it while plugged in. The default charge time was over 2 hours!11. BATTERY BACKUP:Max I got 4 hours or so.12. DELL WARRANTY AND SUPPORT:After registering on Dell website, it shows premium 1-year warranty. There was an option to extend the warranty where I filled up the details and I was informed that a rep will get in touch within a week for details about the warranty extension. I am waiting. Before buying this laptop, I called up Customer support and after 20 mins of wait time, I get connected to a representative. I was looking for information on Thunderbolt 3 port and color gamut. Rep told me that she would call back soon but it’s been a month and nothing so far. So, you get the drill.13. Conclusion: My take is that you are better off looking at laptops from retailer directly rather than completely relying on the information given in here. I know it’s pricey in the stores but at least you can have a good information and then decide if you want to purchase same product from here. I’ve tried to show what to expect with this laptop. If you are okay with mentioned red flags above, then you can go for it. Otherwise there are alternatives which you can opt for.May be an average consumer wouldn’t go through so many details after purchasing this laptop. Even I was an average consumer a month ago until I felt strongly about going into the details. I don’t know man; a big part of the blame goes to Amazon for such poor description and a good part goes to Dell as well for not having proper information on their website. In the end, consumer must bear all this.Hoping to have this with me for the next 5 year at least. If not, then this would be my last DELL purchase (which I don’t want that to happen :D).Phew, looks like I’ve written too much. I am thinking to start a youtube channel (JK 😀 or maybe not? :P). Thank you for coming with me this far. Signing off.

The laptop is made of cheap plastic material. Even the trackpad is of bad quality. Don’t buy.

I recently purchased this laptop and got delivered on 5 Nov. I found performance is good with processor and nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti. But battery life is not as per expected. With my normal usage which only include browsing it’s only last max 3.43 hours. Even Dell representative confirm that’s as per design. You will not get much battery life even on normal usage which doesn’t involve high CPU and GPU application. I AM DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS BATTERY BACKUP. Here Amazon is saying 10 hours which is not correct. Make sure to check product from other vendor like HP before choosing this.
