The laptop is amazing, Finally… But the problem is I still can’t customize it on amazon or in Apple stores (India). The MacBook Pro 16 I want…- 2.4GHz 8‑core 9th‑generation Intel Core i9 processor, Turbo Boost up to 5.0GHz- 64GB 2666MHz DDR4 memory- AMD Radeon Pro 5500M with 8GB of GDDR6 memory- 2TB SSD storageBut these customization options are only available in foreign countries. That is why it sucks…

After 3yrs of problems with Butterfly keyboard & Thermal Problem with Corei9 Apple Finally fixed those loop holes in this Model. It’s almost perfect. Good for Professional use. I’m Little disappointed with Apple though., because there s no customization available for India. I hope In future they will introduce it. About the Product 5 Star Solid.I already own a MacBook Pro Mid 2012 still kicking. I always love quality products that apple delivery. Thanks Amazon.

I have been a Windows/ Linux user all my life and so for me the switch to a Mac was a pretty big deal. Hence, I started doing my research for purchasing a MacBook way back in 2019. The butterfly fiasco plus a few other glitches dissuaded me from buying the 2019 model, so ever since the news of the 2020 model came out, I have been keenly watching and following YouTube reviews and ratings on various e-commerce sites to see what early buyers of the product had to say. It took a bit of convincing, but finally I decided to go with the current version. So if you are someone who really puts a lot of thought into a MacBook purchase, you might want to read on…Firstly, I intent to use the Mac mainly for 2 purposes (No, status quo has not been a criteria at all for me):A lightweight, portable machine that has excellent battery life and decent powerExperimenting with the music production softwares such as Logic Pro and Garage bandWith this being my priorities, here are some of the pros and cons that I have noticed both while researching and now, using.Pros:Portable – No brainer, this is as thin and light as it getsPowerful – The 1.1GHz 10th generation i3 processor does pack the power that is required for a notebook such as this. You can play moderately heavy games, do a fair bit of programming and even stretch things a bit by working on images and sounds. The machine handles everything just fine.Display – If you are moving from a Windows laptop or notebook, this will for sure leave you impressed.Keyboard – I have tried on the butterfly keyboard in the 2019 model, and so the return to the scissors keyboard a.k.a the “magic” keyboard is a welcome move. The keys have decent travel and depth and you can be sure to get decent typing speeds.Sound – Honestly, in a laptop this size, I wasn’t expecting much from the speakers. However, for me the biggest surprise was the clarity and depth in these speakers. Admittedly, they aren’t studio quality, but they do certainly pack a punch. The highs and lows have been balanced well, and the bass doesn’t produce that jarring effect. Moreover, the treble has been nicely moderated.Battery – I haven’t seen any review where they have cribbed about the battery life on any of the Macs.Design – Nothing much to say here, it’s there for all to see.ROI – The 2019 MacBook Air with i5 and 128 GB is still costlier that this one, so in that sense, I’m happy with the pricing. Also, considering that the 2017 version is still on Amazon for 65K odd, I’d any day take this for just 20K more.Cons:Heating – I never expected this to be an issue with a Mac, but truth be told, it does heat up to slightly uncomfortable levels. I did read and see this mentioned in a lot of the reviews, but I always wondered, how bad it could be. Well, if you have used HP laptops, you might recall a certain heat wave that makes you not want to rest your machine on your lap. This isn’t that bad, but considering you shell out nearly a hundred thousand bucks on this piece of machinery, you would be surprised that this is still an issue.Screen size – Now this is purely subjective. Honestly, I’m fine with this because I knew what I was getting into. But if you are someone used to 15.6 inch screens, you may find the 13.3 inch screen size a bit of a strain, especially if you have plans to do some serious photo or audio editing on this.Ports – This has been mentioned a gazillion times, and rightly so. Yes, we get that this is a compact equipment. I’m also okay that it only has USB-C thunderbolt ports. But a couple more would not have hurt.Overall, for professionals, students, entrepreneurs, writers, musicians and just about anybody who dreams of having a personal notebook to carry around, that is durable, powerful and reliable, this is definitely a great buy, subject to your budget constraints. Yes, there are plenty of other cheaper notebooks that provide you just about one or more of the above mentioned features, but the robustness of Apple’s hardware coupled with easily Apple’s best software product in MacOS seals the deal for those who can afford to shell out a few hundred dollars extra for that comfort and reliability.

I got this product 3 days back. Very poor camera quality. Even the 3 year old model of 2nd generation MacBook Air has a far far better camera quality. The image is all grainy image like an old phone camera. I am not even able to take my zoom meetings. This was not expected from the Apple product. I am consulting with amazon for replacing or returning my product.I will update here the further status.

The whole lineup of macbook air 2020 model has a grainy camera. Apple is trying to hide this from the consumers but in this age of front camera being extremely necessary for video calls and work from home the camera quality is that or 240 pixels. I personally went to the apple stores and checked other mac book air and found the same issue. You won’t find many articles on this but around 6000 comments on internal apple discussion boards.DO NOT BUY THIS FAULTY PRODUCT.
